David Thorson, MD is a family practice physician who, after his residency, completed a fellowship in sports medicine. He practiced family medicine and sports medicine for over 30 years. He also volunteered as an event physician for high school, college, and national sport competitions.

While skilled at family medicine, it is his unique approach and skill in diagnosing and treating kinetic chain and biomechanical dysfunction that has brought him accolades from his patients and recognition from his peers. “Dr. Dave,” as his patients call him, has been recognized repetitive years by MPLS-St Paul magazine in its Best Doctor - Sports Medicine category. David Thorson, MD Consulting, PLLC was created in response to calls from patients, physicians, and physical therapists asking him to provide consultative services to help patients with complicated musculoskeletal complaints, concussion, motor vehicle, and or work injuries.
