The Art of Medicine:

The question of “why” - the inquisitive nature that drives us to perform better and question the world around us. Nowadays, the art of medicine has faded from the forefront, with the health industry content to offer quick solutions. However, these tune-ups can turn disastrous; missing out on causes and forgetting to treat the person.

After retiring from my practice in 2021, I’ve continued to hear patients and friends frustrated with the industry I’ve been committed to for over 40 years.

Hence, the birth of David Thorson, MD Medical Consulting, PLLC. I’m excited to continue helping my patients, who have become family, traverse this changing field. By offering my consulting services, I can pursue my passion of practicing medicine, by traveling across the East Metro area and treating out of Kinetic Physical Therapy Institute. I’m looking forward to hearing from you again.

Asking for More From the Medical Field

SPECIALIZATIONS

Rehabilitation

Both pre- and post- surgery patients require skilled treatments unique to their situation. Being able to ask the “why” for your case can help prevent future injuries

Concussion

Recovery from a concussion can be confusing and stressful. Creating a comprehensive care plan encompassing vision, locomotive, and the wide array of other symptoms requires a care team that I can help to coordinate.

Sports Medicine

Peak position physical form calls for dedication and determination. Both are skills that you should look for in the doctor you choose to help you with your career

General Health

An occasional check-up for patients who have previously seen me. If you’re looking for follow-up care ranging from injections to writing prescriptions or guidance along your health journey, I’m still available for you.

Could we, patients and friends of yours, be anymore blessed than this? Your combination of incredible medical prowess, humble commitment to helping others, and an almost aggressive proactive approach to solving problems is just once in a lifetime combination that makes you YOU [...] You’ve changed countless lives for the better, and somehow always made it look like you had fun doing it.
— A.H.
You always care for others and seem to be right most of the time. I am always amazed on your breadth of knowledge and recall. You are a special person.
— R.M.
No one has ever cared more deeply, advocated more strongly, or showed up more fully for their patients than you, Dr. Dave.
